Suzy Club MEMBERSHIP TERMS AND CONDITIONS

INTRODUCTION

To help you get the best out of Suzy Club and to understand our responsibilities to you and your responsibilities to us, please read these terms and conditions – these are the terms and conditions on which we supply our membership services to you. Please remember that if you book an Suzy Club experience, make a booking at an establishment within Suzy Club Collection, use our website or make use of any of our other services, Suzy Club Shop and purchasing gift vouchers, extra terms and conditions may apply.

The language we use should make these terms and conditions as clear as possible. If you have any questions, a member of our team will be happy to help you.

General

The barter, trade, sale, purchase or transfer for compensation of any SUZY CLUB product or any of its Offers or contents by any person or entity, including but not limited to travel services, travel providers, and distributors of the product or any of its Offers, is strictly prohibited, unless expressly authorised by SUZY CLUB. The product and its Offers and other content are intended for the non- profit use of the individual purchaser of the Offers. Additionally, the use of the product or any of its Offers for advertising purposes is strictly prohibited. Any use of the Offers in violation of these Rules will render the Offers void, and SUZY CLUB will avail itself of any and all legal remedies available to it. Offers may not be reproduced and are void where prohibited or restricted by law. SUZY CLUB will not be responsible for the closing down or refusal of any merchant to accept SUZY CLUB; however, we will use reasonable efforts to rectify the situation, to the extent possible. SUZY CLUB will not be responsible in the event that acts of God, fire casualties, illness, injury or other events beyond its control, prevent you from using any Offer

Copyright in the text, images, photographs, graphics, layout and design of SUZY CLUB products are protected by local and International copyright laws. Copyright in all SUZY CLUB products and in the text, index, rules of use, offers, layout and other copyrights works contained in each SUZY CLUB product, is owned by ASK MAYA LLC, or used with permission. No part of any SUZY CLUB product may be reproduced in any form (including by electronic or mechanical means, photocopying, recording, or information storage and retrieval) without the written permission of the publisher. SUZY CLUB word mark and logo are the trademarks and/or registered trademarks of The ASK MAYA LLC. Other trademarks, artwork, copy and/or translations of copy appearing in this publication are used with permission of their respective licensed owners.

 

To help make these terms and conditions easy to read, we have split them into parts:

Part A – terms and conditions of membership

All members must keep to the same terms and conditions. This applies to both free and paid members.

Part B – rules and regulations for using your membership benefits. These terms and conditions apply to all our members when redeeming their benefits. They are necessary to make sure we can oer you and our other members the best possible benefits.

These terms and conditions are supplemented by the specific member benefit terms and conditions attaching to each of your member benefits from time to time.

These terms and conditions apply at all times and take priority over anything a member of our team may have told you.

These terms and conditions replace any previous versions.

PART A – TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF MEMBERSHIP

RESPONSIBILITIES OF MEMBERS

  1. Every person who joins Suzy Club, as a member, will be individually responsible under this agreement.
  2. All of these terms and conditions of membership apply to you unless we tell you otherwise.
  3. You must keep to the rules and regulations for using your member benefits set out in Part B.
MEMBERSHIP ACCOUNTS
  1. By joining Suzy Club or creating an account with us, you represent to us that:
the information you have provided to us when registering is true, accurate, current and complete. You agree to maintain and promptly update this using the functionality provided through our website or Suzy Club to keep it true, accurate, current and complete.
  1. Your membership is personal to you and you cannot transfer it to another person.
  2. You must not lend your membership details (including membership identity, password or login details) or any discount code or other offer code provided by us or our brand partners to another person.
  3. If another person uses your membership, you provide any discount code or other offer code provided by us to any third party, or we reasonably suspect you of having done so, we have the right to end your membership. Please read “If we need to cancel your membership”.
  4. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of all discount and offer codes and you are not permitted to share or disclose any discount or offer code to anyone else. You will be solely responsible for the activities of anyone accessing our website using any password assigned to you, even if the individual is not, in fact, authorized by you. If you have reason to believe that your password has been compromised or used without authorization, you must promptly change it and notify us at members@suzyclub.com
MEMBERSHIP CATEGORIES
  1. Members have benefits associated with them, may change from time to time. Please refer to Part B – Member benefits and the specific member benefits terms and conditions.
  2. We will tell you about any restrictions associated with your category of membership when you join, when you change your category of membership or from time to time should we be required to change any terms and conditions. You can also get details from our website.
  3. Not all membership benefits may be available at Suzy Club Website at all times, however we will use reasonable endeavors to ensure that availability across Suzy Club Website is as high as possible.
MEMBERSHIP FEES
  1. For annual Suzy Club membership, your membership fee is due every year and covers the year to come. You must pay for your membership by making one payment each year.
ANNUAL SUZY CLUB MEMBERSHIP
  1. Your annual Suzy Club membership will begin on the day when your annual Suzy Club membership purchase is completed or, in the case of memberships bought as a gift, activated, enabling you to commence enjoying the benefits of being an Suzy Club immediately.
 
  1. No Cancellation of Membership will be honoured.
  2. For annual Suzy Club membership, your membership will run for the “contract period”, which is the full 12-month period from the date your membership purchase is completed or, in the case of memberships bought as a gift, the date on which your membership is activated, and will continue then indefinitely until you switch off automatic renewal in accordance with the clause “Ending your membership – annual Suzy Club members”, unless we terminate your membership in accordance with the clause “If we need to cancel your membership”.
The Discount Card will be valid until the expiry date printed on the front of the Discount Card. Suzy Club will aim to send or get ready your personalised Discount Card to you within 14 days of receiving your application.
  1. This means that for annual Suzy Club membership your minimum commitment is to pay for the first 12 months of your membership with us MEMBERSHIP FEES
IF YOU DO NOT PAY YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEE WHEN IT IS DUE
  1. If you do not pay your membership fee when it is due (for example your payment method expires or is cancelled), we will write to you to let you know (which may be by email). If you are paying by credit or debit card, we will try to take this payment from your account again later in the month together with any administration fees that may have become payable. If that is unsuccessful, but your credit or debit card is still active, we will try to take payment again in the following month for the payment you have missed.
  2. We may refer any missed payments, including any future payments that are due as part of your contract (for example, payments you owe for the rest of an initial period or notice period), to a debt-collection agency.
  3. If you fall behind with your membership payments for more than 30 days, we may charge you an administration fee of £55. We may also charge an administration fee of £10 for each missed payment.
  4. It is your responsibility to keep your payment details up to date to prevent any administration fees becoming payable.
  5. If you do not pay for your membership, our brand partners may prevent you from accessing their goods and services. This does not mean we will end your membership.
  6. Cancelling your payment method (for example credit card or debit card) does not mean you have given us notice to end your membership. You must give us written notice in accordance with the clause “Notice” or, in the case of annual Suzy Club membership, by switching off automatic renewal in accordance with the clause “Ending your membership – annual Suzy Club members”.
CHANGING YOUR MEMBERSHIP FEES
  1. We may increase membership fees automatically each year. If we do this, we will give you notice in writing or via email in accordance with the clause “Notice”.
  2. As well as the increase described above, we have the right to increase membership fees at any time to take account of any increase in the rate of VAT. We will make every reasonable eort to give you at least one month’s notice in writing in accordance with the clause “Notice”.
NOTICE
  1. Anywhere in these terms and conditions where we ask you to give notice, if you give notice we will treat the notice as received on the date on which it was actually received by us, unless any such day is not a Business Day, in which case we will treat the notice as received on the next Business Day. This means that if you are required to give one month’s notice and that notice is sent by you by post on 1 June but it is not received by us until 5 June, (provided that it is properly completed and together with any further information required) your notice will start on 5 June and will run until 4 July.
  2. As your notice is not eective until we have received it, we strongly advise that when you give notice you get proof that we have received it. For example:
  3. if you send us notice by post, send it by recorded delivery (we will have to sign the delivery notice when we receive it); or
  4. if you send us your notice by email, ask for a delivery receipt.
  5. If you want to give notice, it must be in writing (addressed to Suzy Club Memberships). We will accept notice by post to our head office or by email (members@esuzyclub.com). If you need to provide any further information you can send this by post or provide them as attachments to an email. Delivery of notice to Suzy Club business partner is not a valid form of delivery and will not be accepted.
  6. If we need to give notice to you:
  7. it will be eective if we send it to the address or email address we have in the records we hold about you; and
  8. our notice period will run from the date on which it was actually received by you, unless any such day is not a Business Day, in which case it will be deemed as received on the next Business Day.
 

OTHER CHARGES

  1. The benefits applicable to members are limited to those on offer from time to time.
  2. Goods and services beyond the benefits on offer from time to time may incur a separate cost.
  3. Member benefits carry no cash alternative and cannot be exchanged or used in conjunction with any other offer, unless specified.
  4. Specific restrictions, including time and volume may apply to benefits. Please ensure that you read the associated terms and conditions before attempting to redeem any benefit. If you have any questions, please contact members@suzyclub.com
ENDING YOUR MEMBERSHIP EARLY FOLLOWING INCREASE IN MEMBERSHIP FEES
  1. At any time, you can end your membership if we give you notice under “Changing your membership fees” of an increase in your membership fee of more than either 1% above the rate of inflation or 3%, whichever is higher.
  2. You must give us notice in writing in accordance with the clause “Notice”. The period of notice is one calendar month.
  3. If you give us notice in accordance with clauses, your membership will end at the end of your contract period, and with it your access to any of your Suzy Club benefits.
IF WE NEED TO CANCEL YOUR MEMBERSHIP
  1. If we need to give notice to you to cancel your membership, it will be effective if we send it to the address or email address we have in the records we hold about you.
  2. We may cancel your membership with immediate effect if you are in breach of these terms and conditions or the terms and conditions associated with any Suzy Club Business Partners, any member of Suzy Club, our website or any associated website (including their privacy policies) or if any of the situations described in the clause “Cancelling your membership” applies.
  3. If we need to terminate your membership for reasons set out in the clause “Cancelling your membership” then:
  4. your membership will terminate with immediate effect, and with it your access to any of your Suzy Club benefits;
  5. in circumstances of serious breach you may not be eligible to remain as a member and we may terminate your membership entirely; and
  6. your membership fee will not ordinarily be refundable.
CANCELLING YOUR MEMBERSHIP
  1. We will not tolerate any member of our team, any team members at any of Suzy Club Collection or our Suzy Club Business Partners or other members or guests being verbally abused or intimidated or being physically threatened. If we find this to be the case, we have the right to report you to the police, to ban you immediately and permanently from all establishments that are part of Suzy Club Collection at any time and any Suzy Club Business Partner, and to cancel your membership.
  2. We may also cancel your membership in the following circumstances:
  3. if you break or repeatedly break this membership agreement (including those terms and conditions set out in Part B – rules and regulations for using your membership benefits) or any terms and conditions (including privacy policies)
, any Suzy Club Business Partner, a member of The Suzy Club Collection, our website or any of our other services;
  1. if, with your knowledge or permission, another person uses your membership to obtain any member benefits;
  2. if you or your guests use rude or abusive language or behaves or threatens to behave in a violent or aggressive way at any establishment within The Suzy Club Collection or at any Suzy Club Business Partner; or
  3. if you engage in any criminal activity while on site at any of Suzy Club Collection or with our Suzy Club Business Partner.
  4. If we receive any complaint about your behavior or that of a guest of yours or if you or a guest of yours persistently behave inappropriately, or if we believe that your continued membership is not in the interests of other members or our guests, we have the right to suspend your membership. You have the right to appeal against our decision (unless your behavior is covered by the clause “Cancelling your membership”). You can get details of our appeal procedures from our head office. If we are not able to sort out the issue following your appeal, or if you do not appeal in line with our appeal procedures we have the right to cancel your membership.
  5. If we cancel your membership for any of the reasons in the clause “Cancelling your membership”, we have the right to keep entirely or a proportion of the money you have paid under this. We may also not accept any future applications you may make for membership with Suzy Club and you may be refused entry from establishments within Suzy Club Collection from time to time or any Suzy Club provider.
CHANGING THIS AGREEMENT
  1. We may make reasonable changes to this agreement, to these terms and conditions at any time, by publishing a notice on its website to that effect.
MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR BENEFITS AND SUZY CLUB COLLECTION
  1. We are continually looking to give our members the best benefits that we can for the benefit of our members as a whole. From time to time we may need to change the benefits available to members. We may do this at our sole discretion and without notice.
  2. Please see the clause “Making changes to your benefits” for further details.
  3. As part of our commitment to our members to maintain the highest standards across Suzy Club Collection, we will continually assess each establishment within Suzy Club Collection to ensure that it meets our standards and is providing facilities and services befitting of an inn or pub within Suzy Club Collection. From time to time we may feel that an establishment no longer meets the criteria required and accordingly we may need to remove that establishment from Suzy Club Collection.
  4. An establishment that is part of Suzy Club Collection may decide that it no longer wishes to be part of Suzy Club Collection or it may have to close temporarily (for example for refurbishment or repair) or reduce or withdraw certain facilities or services. Unfortunately, this is beyond our control.
  5. If an establishment ceases to be part of Suzy Club Collection, your membership will still be valid across the remainder of Suzy Club Collection.
COMPLAINTS
  1. We are committed to making sure our members are satisfied with the service we provide, but we are realistic enough to know that things don’t go according to plan all the time. If you or your guests have a complaint, we want to know about it as soon as possible so that we may fully investigate it and sort the matter out.
  2. If you have a complaint:
  3. regarding an establishment within Suzy Club Collection, you should first tell a member of the team at that establishment. If you are not satisfied with their response, you should contact the manager on duty at that establishment. If you are still not satisfied, you can write to us at our head office or by email to members@suzyclub.com
  4. regarding a Suzy Club business partner, please write to us at our head office or by email to members@suzyclub.com; or
  5. regarding the redemption of any member benefits, please write to us at our head office or by email to members@suzyclub.com
Using your discount card at participating business partners

SUZY CLUB will use reasonable endeavours to maintain a list of those Retailers participating in the discount scheme on the SUZY CLUB website but SUZY CLUB does not warrant that any Retailer remains a participant or will accept a Discount Card.

Subject to these terms and conditions, on presentation of your Discount Card, participating Retailers will offer 10%(or as per retailers) off your total individual food bill or 10%(or as per retailers) off the total price of personal purchases, as the case may be.   Retailers reserve the right to refuse the Discount Card and the application of any discount for some or all of their goods and/or services at their absolute discretion.

Please check the terms and conditions of the particular offer you are interested in before making a purchase.

Where a Retailer requires you to pre-book (e.g. hairdresser, restaurant) you should state at the time of booking that you intend to use the Discount Card.

At a Retailer where you pay for goods after use (e.g. hairdresser, restaurant), with or without pre-booking, you should inform the Retailer that you intend to use the Discount card prior to the receipt of relevant goods/services

In all other circumstances you must inform the Retailer that you have a Discount Card immediately prior to the point of purchase (e.g. at the till).

You are not required to make an associated purchase or minimum spend when using the Discount Card.

The use of your Discount Card may not be available in conjunction with any other offers participating Retailers might be running.

The expiry date of your Discount card will be checked by participating Retailers when you redeem the offer. Expired Discount Cards will not be accepted.

Your Discount Card is strictly non-transferable and so cannot be used by either friends or family members or other third parties. Participating Retailers may ask you to show photo identification such as a driving licence or passport to confirm that you are the Discount Card holder or are permitted by law to make any acquisition. Any attempted misuse of the Discount Card will result in cancellation of the card and may be kept by retailer in order to return it to SUZY CLUB.

Participating Retailers are entitled to withdraw their offer or change the terms and conditions of their offer from time to time. SUZY CLUB shall have no liability for any such withdrawals or changes in their terms and conditions.

 

SUZY CLUB Offers:

Can be used 7 days a week, at any time during the issuing merchant’s trading hours – minimal exclusion days apply

 

Exclusion Days

Offers can be used 7 days a week, excluding the following days in the following markets and any other public holidays as announced by the applicable government (subject to merchant discretion):

  • 24 December
  • 25 December
  • 31 December
  • 1 January
  • Eid Al Fitr
  • Eid Al Adha
  • 14 February
  • National Day
  • Renaissance Day (Oman)
  • Please note that a limited number of outlets may be closed over the summer, Ramadan and other selected religious holidays. We cannot be held responsible if an outlet is temporarily or permanently closed during the Offer validity period
 

 

LIABILITY

  1. We do not accept liability for damage or loss to your property or a guest’s property that may happen on the premises or within the grounds of an establishment within Suzy Club Collection or any Suzy Club business partner, other than the liability which arises from our negligence or our failure to take reasonable care.
  2. We do not accept liability for the injury or death of any member or guest that may happen on the premises or within the grounds of an establishment within Suzy Club Collection or any Suzy Club business partner, other than the liability which arises from our negligence or our failure to take reasonable care.
  3. We do not accept liability should a member benefit be removed or unavailable at any time.
  4. Nothing in these terms and conditions is meant to limit any rights you might have as a consumer.
DATA PROTECTION AND PRIVACY
  1. We keep to the Data Protection and will, once in force, keep to the General Data Protection Regulations.
  2. We will deal with all information we hold about you in accordance with our privacy policy. If you want to know what information we hold about you, or you want us to correct any information we hold about you, the appropriate procedures are set out in our privacy policy.
GOVERNING LAW AND JURISDICTION

These terms and conditions are subject to French Law, and the Courts of FRANCE shall have sole jurisdiction.

PART B – RULES AND REGULATIONS REGARDNG MEMBER BENEFITS

SPECIFIC TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  1. Member benefits may change from time to time, as may the terms, conditions, restrictions and exclusions.
  2. Please refer to the specific terms, conditions, restrictions and exclusions associated with the specific member benefits included in the specific member benefits terms and conditions.
  3. The terms and conditions provided here are supplementary to the terms, conditions, restrictions and exclusions included in the specific member benefits terms and conditions.
REASONABLE USAGE
  1. To provide the best benefits to all of our members we operate a reasonable usage policy.
  2. The policy applies to all of your member benefits.
  3. We reserve the right to suspend some or all of your member benefits for fraud and/or if your usage of your benefits is excessive or abused. For example, if you were to buy drinks at members’ rates for the same people on a frequent basis, we may class this as an abuse of your membership.
  4. If you would like to organize an event for a party of more than 5 people, please contact us at members@suzyclub.com
MAKING CHANGES TO YOUR MEMBER BENEFITS
  1. We are continually looking to give our members the best benefits that we can for the benefit of our members as a whole.
  2. To secure the benefits with our brand partners, certain benefits may have time or date restrictions available on their use, have restrictions and exclusions associated with their redemption or be limited in number. It is your responsibility to check the terms and conditions associated with each of the member benefits before attempting to redeem them.
  3. As well as adding to member benefits, from time to time we may remove certain member benefits (for example where a brand partner removes the benefit or where we feel an alternative partner may be of greater benefit to our members generally but will only provide that benefit if we cease a partnership with one of its competitors) or change the terms, conditions, restrictions, and exclusions associated with their redemption. We may do this at our sole discretion and without notice.
  4. While we will use reasonable endeavors to ensure that member benefits are available when advertised, we shall have no liability should any of the member benefits be unavailable at any time (for example, should an establishment within Suzy Club Collection run out of a product currently forming part of a member’s benefits or should one of our brand partners retract or reduce a member discount).
BRAND PARTNERS
  1. Where our brand partners provide you with a discount code to redeem against their products or services, you agree not to distribute this code to anyone.
  2. If you provide any discount code or other offer code provided by us to any third party, or we reasonably suspect you of having done so, we have the right to end your membership. Please read the clause “If we need to cancel your membership”.
Events

 

Conduct at SUZY CLUB Official Events

 

Official Events are open to all members and their guests. Closed guest lists due to limited space or registration deadlines and events organized exclusively for SUZY CLUB Members, and/or newcomers.

While we do our best to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone, SUZY CLUB assumes no liability for anything that happens at an event posted on SUZY CLUB or hosted by our Ambassadors. SUZY CLUB does not accept any legal responsibility for damages resulting from the gross negligence of the organizers. Furthermore, neither SUZY CLUB nor the organizer of this event shall assume liability for any loss of personal property. Nor shall they be held responsible in the event of financial, physical or emotional damage (see our General Terms and Conditions for further details).

 

SUZY CLUB reserves the right to collect a cover charge at events in order to refinance setup and infrastructure costs, to compensate for all expenses made by Organisers (e.g. fees for printing name tags and leaflets, costs for welcome drinks or other event benefits), or required by the location (e.g. money to hire a DJ exclusively for the evening). SUZY CLUB Members usually enjoy free or reduced entry to Official Events.

 

Any members behaving in an inappropriate manner at an SUZY CLUB Official Event are subject to expulsion from the SUZY CLUB platform.

Fundraising events must be approved in advance by the Community Manager. All donations must be transferred in full to a registered non-profit organization and reported to SUZY CLUB by the end of the month.

 

If a member accepts an event invitation and later cannot attend, the member should cancel his/her attendance on the SUZY CLUB group before the event begins so that the organizer of the event has a reliable number of participants to use when planning the event and making any necessary reservations

 

By accepting an event invitation, the user acknowledges the right of SUZY CLUB to publish any photographs or film footage taken at SUZY CLUB Official Events on the SUZY CLUB groups and/or on any platform approved by SUZY CLUB. Should the user wish to refuse the same, the user must clearly express this wish to the photographer or cameraman at the event. Should the user wish to have SUZY CLUB remove a photograph already published on the SUZY CLUB website, the user must contact SUZY CLUB support.

 

Please be open to making everyone feel welcome and to sharing the spirit of connecting global minds.

 

SUZY CLUB is a private network that provides its members with a platform to interact with each other. Everyone is free to join SUZY CLUB and free to choose his or her level of membership. Members of SUZY CLUB have agreed to adhere to our General Terms and Conditions and to respect our standards of conduct.

Please behave in a respectful manner towards other SUZY CLUB members, the platform and the SUZY CLUB staff.

SUZY CLUB classes that are conducted can be discontinued without prior notice. SUZY CLUB will not be under any obligation to continue any type of events, class, activity or gathering.
